4. Was The Juice Worth The Squeeze?

The commentators mentioned a few times that during his AEW World Championship eliminator with Jon Moxley that Juice Robinson was now a free agent. This was an interesting fact to add on to the stat that he was one of only two men to hold two victories over the Champion since All Elite Wrestling's launch three years ago.

Sadly, the match failed to provide the physical accompaniment to the suggestion that more might be to follow between these two.

Was Robinson wrestling for a job here? Has he already been hired? Should Moxley have one eye on his former NJPW rival and/or Bullet Club as he reigns atop an uncertain time in AEW history? Were questions like these so manifold because the match was sort of...boring?

There were takeaways within the clash; Moxley bled, Robinson hot-dogged when he could have been taking advantage, and the titleholder again proved that he has a million ways to win. But large portions of this felt sluggish and uniquely uninteresting. There'll be better nights for both and this was not one bit bad. But it was, at times, incredibly and unexpectedly bland
