Don't let nostalgia tint reality - Brock Lesnar's feud with Triple H almost obliterated his entire aura.

Following his return a year earlier, 'The Beast' broke Triple H's arm after the 'The Game' refused to bow to his hilarious corporate demands. Hunter lost a SummerSlam match fairly conclusively, leaving a little on the table for an unwanted (by the audience, at least) WrestleMania rematch the following spring.

It was a completely unnecessary continuation, but the worst of it came in the match itself.

Worse was to come by the finish. Triple H was astonishingly (until you stop to think about it for five seconds) booked to beat Lesnar at the 'Show of Shows' in a brutally boring encounter. Even that was just to facilitate dull steel cage decider at the following month's Extreme Rules. He lost there, but as usual knew few would remember that.
