4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Sept 9)

3. It's Dana's Time, Not Emma's

https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=11&v=NkA-v0Flqp0 Poor Emma, WWE just can't seem to get behind the Aussie Arsekicker. The company had an opportunity to take a negative and spin it into a positive for the leader of the Emma-lution, but have gone another way. As aired on August 26, Emma walked away from the special episode of NXT taped before TakeOver Brooklyn with a big win over Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Dana Brooke under her belt, albeit only because of a drastic botch that involved Becky being pinned when she shouldn't have:OOPS. But the company had an opportunity to spin an organic feud out of this mistake. After all, Bayley pinned Becky and that led to her becoming #1 Contender to the Women's Title, and now Emma's done the same. Emma and Bayley have just concluded quite a lengthy program as well, during which Emma was held responsible for breaking Bayley's hand. Now that Bayley's champion, wouldn't it make sense to have an ambitious and cruel Emma gunning for the Hugger's gold, parlaying her big victory over three other women into a title shot and threatening not only to re-break Bayley's hand, but crush her newfound glory? Alas, no. WWE seem to be going with Dana Brooke, who's improving, but proved against Billie Kay last night that she's still a fair amount more training away from putting on a Match of the Night. Sigh.
