2. The Main Event Tag Match Formula Was Used Again
Seth Rollins was in the ring for the show opening promo bragging about how great he is. It was the usual promo we hear from him where he talks about how he's going to beat Randy Orton at Extreme Rules and that he didn't need help from Kane or anybody else. Kane showed up to tell Rollins that he had to lay down for him in a match so that Kane could beat him. Rollins didn't want to do it, but eventually gave in and laid down in the ring. Kane went for a cover, but laughed and said that he was just messing with him. Then Kane put Rollins in a singles match with Dean Ambrose, but that didn't get anywhere because Luke Harper attacked and it set up the usual main event tag match for the main event after Roman Reigns came down to save Ambrose. It is the same thing we see on Smackdown nearly every week where the opening segment is just used as a way to set up something for later. Can't they do something else different for a change? It would be nice.
