5 Fights Brock Lesnar Could Take In Bellator MMA

By Jay Anderson /

4. Joey Beltran

We really wanted to say Rampage Jackson here, in a freakshow fight where Quinton fought up in weight, but it seems as if 'page is pretty unhappy with Bellator of late, and may not even be in the promotion much longer. Which is a shame, because really, he has a shot at success in Bellator, and has already gone 3-0 in the company. So instead, we opt to go with another light heavyweight who has the option of fighting at heavyweight: Joey Beltran. Beltran challenged for Bellator's light heavyweight title and lost in highlight reel fashion, felled by an Emanuel Newton spinning backfist, but as with Thompson, Beltran has a name, and was fighting in the UFC at heavyweight for a while. Although he has some dangerous striking, Lesnar has a chin - he doesn't like getting hit there, but Shane Carwin couldn't put him away, and he's never actually been knocked out cold. TKO'd yes, but Lesnar's wrestling would probably be too much for Beltran. This would just be a freakshow warm-up fight, but that seems to be how things go in Bellator.
