…the Wrestling Observer reports that WWE has signed Ronda Rousey to what must be an eye-watering deal purely as a platform on which to make Stephanie McMahon a star outside of wrestling.

What words to use here? This is absolutely unbelievable. Why not sign Ronda Rousey to use…Ronda Rousey as a star? Wouldn’t that make more sense? As opposed to none whatsoever?

Nobody really cares about authority figures anymore. Everybody resents Stephanie when she dares attempt to become a face. Everybody resents Stephanie in the heel role because she never gets what’s coming to her. Apart, evidently, from a Steve Austin-sized push, with Rousey operating in the Mike Tyson role. The “nerd-rage” is apparent, but really, this is absolutely hilarious. Imagine thinking that, of all of the wrestlers to push, Stephanie McMahon is most capable of penetrating the mainstream. She is so naturally detestable. The arrogance of this endeavour is astonishing.

Steph 3:16 says...a lot of venomous, prolonged bile without any comeuppance? That's a licence to print money.

If Stephanie does become a mainstream star outside of wrestling, it means she might leave wrestling to pursue an acting career. So that's a good thing. But she won’t, because she’s only ever been remotely believable in her role as a complete pr*ck.

There's a really great heel in Stephanie. She just refuses to be one.
