A Chris Bey backstage interview saw 'The Ultimate Finesser' unsure where his allegiance stood within the X Division. He can either side with Rohit Raju and Ace Austin to be a bully, or he can side with Trey Miguel and Petey Williams to be a victim (Josh Alexander seemingly wasn't an option). Cue Miguel and Williams to interrupt him, push him into making a decision, and end by Petey saying he used to play the bully role as a member of Team Canada.
Cool story. Where's the punchline, though?
As the babyface, there's little benefit to having Petey reminisce about his days beating up defenceless guys for a laugh. It's rare you actually see babyfaces reflecting on their time as a heel and vice versa. For a guy like Petey Williams, a pioneer for IMPACT Wrestling, it was a massive flop. Unless he were to Canadian Destroyer a literal child, you can't boo the guy. This made no sense.
