5 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (24 June)

3. Callis Out, Dreamer In

With Don Callis removed from his role as IMPACT Executive Vice President, Tommy Dreamer has essentially been placed in his position as an advisor to the Anthem board. You know, because that's exactly what's needed right now.

Dreamer dropped the news on Scott D'Amore during a backstage interview with Gia Miller, unveiling his new position after the former Team Canada man had stated he doesn't need Tommy's help. The issue here is that D'Amore's actually right. As was previously reported by Fightful Select, D'Amore had effectively been holding down the fort as it pertains to running the shows since he and Callis were appointed to their positions in 2017.

By placing Tommy Dreamer in such a role, you're virtually booking an authority figure storyline where the two in charge can't coexist. It worked between D'Amore and Callis because of Kenny Omega's involvement. For D'Amore and Dreamer, though, things will be a tad trickier to pull off. There's a simple solution to it, of course; don't do it.
