4. Beale Squashed
Jake Something vs. Sam Beale wasn't a squash match per se, but Sam Beale himself was squashed. You need only take a look at both Something and Beale to understand this; Sam had quite literally no chance against Jake.
This was the case throughout the entire match, as Jake ran through Sam early on with a shoulder tackle, and then caught him mid-flight shortly thereafter for a sick Michinoku Driver. The only time Beale showed a glimmer of hope was when he sent Something's head into the ring post after Brian Myers had distracted him. A Black Hole Slam ended Beale's night on a downer.
The ending was inevitable, sure, but it worked regardless. Jake Something is doing little of note right now, taking a severe downgrade following his stellar showing against Moose, so he can make do with segments like this. It's surely going to culminate in Beale getting a win over someone, and that's fine. He needs to take the next step.
A secondary Up for Sam Beale entering with a face mask a la Brian Myers, although Beale's was a literal mandatory medical face mask with 'SB' written on it, rather than Myers' fancy entrance gear. It popped your writer for whatever reason.
