4. Jacy Jayne Wins (It Was Tiffy Time For Change)
What a nice, energetic Women’s United States Title match between Tiffany Stratton and Jacy Jayne that was. Some other reports online have called both out for some sloppy moments, but this didn't break down the same way Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill did previously. In fact, it didn't come anywhere close to that despite the referee seemingly being out of position for the finish.
That isn't really on Jacy or Tiffany, and neither is the ring announcer's stumble when calling out Jayne as the winner.
As usual, Jacy’s Fatal Influence pals helped to make the difference and get her over the finishing line, and Chelsea Green was at ringside to cheer on Stratton. Nobody's really sure where Triple H goes with Tiffany now, because her babyface run has been clinging on for dear life. On the flip side, everyone in Influence has gold now, so at least creative has started coming through for them after a lull post-debut.
There's something about Jacy that just screams star. She's the natural leader of her faction, and now she has some gold to brag about in promos. There's a point: Being Women's United States Champion will presumably lead to some more mic time for Jayne, and that can only be a positive for her and Influence overall. They've taken a bit of flak for injuring Chelsea Green, but there's something to this group and WWE should continue exploring them as a dominant trio with a powerful figurehead at the forefront.
Fingers crossed this was a tipping point for Stratton as a character too. She needs a heel turn.
