5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42 (Results & Review)
5. The Vision’s Promo Falls Flat
The only thing of note that anyone in The Vision had to say was Paul Heyman admitting that he owes Gunther a favour for beating Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. That could well be securing a match against the seemingly retired Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, but WWE can afford to take their time on that plot point. Beyond it, these dudes had nothing to offer Monday's show.
Logan Paul talking about how he and Austin Theory are still tag champs after the 6-man at ‘Mania made no sense when the belts weren’t on the line, and there wasn’t much movement on his issues with IShowSpeed either. This segment didn’t pick up until Bron Breakker arrived, which is concerning for The Vision - they really don’t carry much menace whenever Bron or Bronson Reed are absent.
Further, The Street Profits feel like boring challengers for Paul and Theory too. How many times can Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins be wheeled out for this sort of nothing spot? It's been rinse and repeat with that squad for far too long. Yes, it's cool that WWE booking has avoided the usual split then feud thing, but we've missed out on some cool singles stuff from Ford for years now, and for what?
This sort of thing?!
The Vision better hope that Breakker is full steam ahead and that Bronson can launch his own comeback soon, because they feel seriously weak when it's just Heyman, Paul and Theory. The latter duo vs. Street Profits will make for a decent match, but it's tough to get properly excited about it for now.
