While it would be easy to be negative about Edge’s crappy heel turn, the development of the Rated-R Superstar getting his own stable breathes some new life into things.

Damian Priest formally joined Edge’s cause Monday night, pledging himself to the guy who babble about a “mountain of omnipotence.” But pushing the thesaurus-driven promos aside, Edge as the Hall-of-Fame mastermind leading Priest and a couple of others around could be really fun. We’ve seen that stables – when done properly, like several in AEW – can add depth and dimension to the individual characters and to the programming itself.

That’s not to say that this is going to be a rousing success, but we’re going to be positive here for once and give is a thumbs-up for now.
