Fabulous Moolah was (smartly) a bit-part player in the spectacular Wendi Richter/Leilani Kai clash, but was back in the mix just months later after a huge fallout between McMahon and his brand new Champion. Nearly a decade before Alundra Blayze hurled the physical strap in the garbage on WCW Nitro, the division was basically back in the bin here.

A Fabulous Moolah squash victory over the otherwise-okay Velvet McIntyre was sadly about as much as the company were willing to commit to by then - the female title still warranted a place on the show, but Moolah's vice-like grip was strangling it yet again.
