Sure, she suffered the requisite double-team beatdown later, but Becky Lynch did what she does best Monday night, taking the verbal fight to her two Money in the Bank opponents.
Lynch scorched Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans, at one point “confusing” Charlotte with Lacey, and then referring to Flair as Evans’ twin sister. When Lacey criticized Becky’s attire as being dressed for a “fight in a barn” instead of a contract signing, Lynch noted that she’s never done one of those before – as they always end up in a brawl.
The London faithful rewarded Lynch with deafening cheers throughout the segment, which is what she needed and what the WWE brass needed to hear before the PPV, reminding them that Becky is indeed still extremely popular.
