Pete Dunne returned to the wasteland of NXT UK when that brand finally found its way back on air, but 'The Bruiserweight' was always too big for the cement boots he's often worn on for the betterment of the brand.

The world was an extremely different place the last time Dunne wrestled on NXT, but he'd established himself as a perpetual title contender beforehand. Tag belts were lost in his absence, and a record reign with the UK Championship still remains in tact unless Walter can last another 140+ days with the gold.

That belt might not have been the one clocked in the vignette, but perhaps that representation of the NXT title was a mirror of his aspiration rather than one turned towards his past. Restrictions appear to have been loosened enough to get him on a plane, and this feels like booking that would at least motivate him to make it to the destination.
