5 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Joker In AEW's Women's Casino Battle Royale
3. Tessa Blanchard
Until she appears for either of the two, Tessa Blanchard's name is always going to be associated with WWE and AEW.
Formally fired by IMPACT Wrestling last June, Tessa's recent career has been riddled with controversy, not only from the manner of her firing, but also her racist comments made towards the likes of Black Rose and La Rosa Negra. No promotion should want that on their records, and per Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio back in May, Tony Khan understands that. He refuted the reports that AEW was attempting to sign both Tessa and her husband Daga.
But.
It's only a matter of time before the third-generation wrestler returns to mainstream wrestling. She's wrestled just one match since her IMPACT departure, a loss to Kylie Rae for Warrior Wrestling last September. Tessa is going to come back at some point, but when, exactly, that is remains to be seen.
The National Wrestling Alliance reportedly expressed interest in bringing her in, but no deal could be reached. WWE seems the most likely option for Blanchard, with the 'Queen Of The Carolinas' seemingly teasing a move to the company via her Twitter post where she posed with some Ted DiBiase-themed million dollar bills.
A surprise Casino Battle Royale appearance remains on the cards, though. It's wrestling. Nothing is off the table completely.
