A chronic encounter that foreshadowed a decade of sending tap-ins miles wide, WWE conspired to take the easiest booking task of 2011's WrestleMania and make an almighty f*cking hash of it.

Michael Cole was due a sh*tkicking, and he was due one from company icon (but WrestleMania debutant) Jerry Lawler. Instead, WWE stretched it out to an astonishing 13:45 and booked a dusty finish in order to put Cole over and stretch the programme out for two more pay-per-views.
The 'Show Of Shows' may still have been the company's 'Grandest Stage', but it permanently ceased to be WWE's final destination from that point on.
