10. Jon Moxley: Cat Burglar
The Death Riders was a disastrous idea for a stable, woefully executed.
Over two full years after the events of Brawl Out, AEW fans just wanted to escape into the fiction at long bloody last. In steps Mox and the gang to tell everybody that it sucks, and needs to change.
His violent rampage intensified when he broke the hand of Isiah Kassidy. Zay was in the same spot. He was complacent. He was everything wrong with AEW. Within weeks, he alongside Marq Quen captured the AEW World Tag titles. He stepped up!
Mox acknowledged neither this, nor Private Party’s subsequent fall-off. Instead, he directed his ire towards another emerging guy who had failed to fulfil his immense potential: that young delinquent hellraiser, Robert Gibson.
Heel Mox very quickly morphed into a guy who used tough love to summon the fight out of the young ‘uns into a man, dressed as a cat burglar, who went on a crime spree. He attempted to murder Orange Cassidy by pouring bleach down his throat. He kidnapped the beloved tag teams of yore. He has caused grievous bodily harm to Darby Allin on multiple occasions.
Mox’s reign of terror is even worse than Triple H’s. The only crime Triple H committed was the most boring wrestling matches ever held.
