35. Punk Joins UFC

CM Punk is a passionate individual. He is a man that doesn€™t have a filter, and will gladly say what is bugging him. Even before this year, he was highly critical of The Rock coming back to WWE, because he felt he was taking a full-time wrestlers' spot. To Punk, it didn€™t matter that Rock was the biggest action star on the planet. He ignored the fact that having Rock at WrestleMania increased the buyrates far more than any other wrestler in that spot would have, which in turn gave better payoffs to the entire roster. This year after Punk left WWE, he jumped into the world of professional fighting in the UFC. Instead of having to work his way up, and competing in even a single fight, he was given the golden ticket right into the major leagues. Um, doesn€™t he realize that...oh, I don€™t know€he€™s taking someone else€™s spot? How many thousands of fighters would love the opportunity that Punk has? It would be one thing for to own up to his hypocrisy, but that€™s just not something he€™s capable of. To try and convince the skeptics he€™s ready for the octagon, he provided the following: he€™s €œtaken a punch€ accidentally in a WWE ring, and he€™s a white belt in jiu-jitsu (actor Sean Patrick Flannery has a black belt). Best of luck to Punk, but now all his complaining about part-timers, just makes it seem like it was nothing but pure jealousy.
