6 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE NXT (Apr 18)
Ups...
6. Domination
One week removed from the cold-blooded murder of Heavy Machinery, Riddick Moss, and Tino Sabbatelli on NXT's post-TakeOver follow up episode, the newly re-christened War Raiders made their official in-ring debut against The Metro Brothers, and it was everything it needed to be.
Hanson and Rowe murdered Deuce 'n Domino 2.0 in just under two minutes. It was totally one-sided, with Rowe crushing Metro One with a running knee at the bell, then stomping his pal down ahead of tagging Hanson. The trashing continued thereafter. War Raiders wowed the crowd, and eventually finished their lowly foes off with Fallout - their signature flashy belly-to-back suplex/diving leg drop combination.
With Sanity and The Authors Of Pain now gone, War Raiders are well positioned to becoming NXT's hardest hitting tag team. As anyone familiar with the indie work will attest, they're already a great act, and offer something completely different to The Undisputed Era, TM-61, and the brand's other duos. Bring on the bludgeoning.
