Another solid Friday night with good matches, angles and...AEW references?

One week ago, Roman Reigns compared Raw to McDonalds and said that wrestling fans who wanted solid storytelling need look no further than Friday Night SmackDown. The 'Tribal Chief' used his ongoing rivalry with cousin Jey Uso as proof that the blue brand boasts superior narratives.

WWE's Mr. 'Show Up & Win' was bang on the money.

SmackDown has been a worthwhile watch since his return to the Universal Title summit, but his family feud isn't the only thing grabbing headlines. There's also a simmering situation involving Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend'. Plus, Sami Zayn is bubbling away nicely as a crafty Intercontinental Champion and Big E is on the precipice of a huge singles push.

One of the more notable downsides amidst all of this fun is that WWE are apparently willing to risk the otherwise-engaging Bayley vs. Sasha Banks story. This might be the first time that both women have been in the 'Downs' section for a long time. Sadly, it's deserved, because what's about to happen next is a real head-scratcher.
