6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE WrestleMania XXX
2. The Match Before The Moment
The result was perhaps the most significant in the history of the pay-per-view (and by proxy, the company), but more on that later. The match that built to the tragic demise of The Undertaker's aura was one in which he'd never looked worse. And whilst concussion could be blamed for this particular disappointment, but the entire match foreshadowed the end of his golden era.
Built poorly based on Brock Lesnar's shrunken perception before the match, the contest played out to virtual silence thanks, rather ironically, to how little chance anybody gave 'The Beast' of being the vaunted "1 in 21-1".
The use of three F5s was in keeping with WrestleMania lore, but the shoddy contest betrayed The Undertaker's latter legacy even if Lesnar's was forever reborn as a result. At-times unwatchable, the final three seconds are the only moments worthy of attention. Fortunately, they were the only ones that mattered.
