6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 5)
1. Return Of ’The Messiah’
To paraphrase (/butcher) some classic Monty Python, Seth Rollins is 'The Messiah' and a very naughty boy. He also happens to be just what SmackDown needs at the moment. The roster isn't exactly stacked with credible upper-tier heels. Roman Reigns needs some help there.
Rollins' return next week is welcome.
WWE announced that Seth will bring his God complex back to screens full-time from next week onwards. That's excellent news, especially if he's going to intrude on Sami Zayn's issues with Big E, or feud with someone like Daniel Bryan before going for the Intercontinental Title come WrestleMania.
Either scenario works. It's just nice to have Rollins back post-paternity leave. He's literally the father now, which should make for some fun in-jokes when he's cutting those self-aggrandising promos his character has become known for.
