Rollins’ crew set the goal to rid themselves of three major babyface threats: Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Penta. By the time Raw ended, one man was confirmed out of action indefinitely, another’s status was unknown, and the third had been defeated but likely will be able to rebound next week.

Beyond those show-long threads, Raw functioned as a hodgepodge, with some pretty good in-ring action and some pedestrian, botchy wrestling. The build for this weekend’s Evolution was terribly disappointing for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, while WWE produced a home run of a video package for the Women’s World Championship match between Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley.

There were a few moments where fans will have differing views, but nothing that was blow-away great. Evolution feels like a middling show at best, while Saturday Night’s Main Event seems as though it could tip either way on the night. That’s not exactly a ringing endorsement coming out of the go-home Raw ahead of this weekend.
