6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (27 April - Results & Review)
1. So. Much. Talking.
When an opening in-ring promo segment makes you long for a bunch of masked goons dancing around to “protect” Seth Rollins rather than having to hear him talk, that’s never a good sign.
Rollins and Bron Breakker squared off Monday night to set up their match at Backlash, with Seth saying he gave Bron “everything” and the brash superstar repaid him by taking everything from him – and gained nothing in the process. Breakker said he and Bronson Reed were forced to listen to Rollins prattle on with the same lines every week and fight his battles for him because he didn’t have any friends.
They volleyed a few more times, with Rollins getting a pretty nice dig against the C+ players of The Vision - Austin Theory and Logan Paul - but this just kept going and going and going, all to arrive at Breakker declaring Seth was a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer and the “best professional wrestler in the world… at being number two.” Rollins responded by calling Bron “Baby Steiner” and saying he wasn’t even number two in his own family.
This was endless drivel, with two guys who supposedly were such bitter rivals that Breakker cost Rollins a match at WrestleMania 42 and Seth gave him a receipt with a chair last week that left him with nine staples in his head… but they were content to just trade bad line reading for 15 minutes two feet apart Monday night.
