Following on the heels of a fun men’s triple threat match, could the women match it in energy and originality?

No, they could not. Sorry to spoil the surprise.

Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, and Maxxine Dupri battled for the first slot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, trying to match the men with creative spots, but instead they stumbled about with some sloppy sequences and awkward exchanges that mostly played out to silence.

The crowd didn’t come alive until they returned from a commercial break and were clearly in the last third of the match, which was their cue to pay attention and care. Lyra nearly had the win, but she was foiled by a returning Bayley, which allowed Ruca to hit her with a Sol Snatcher for the win.

Everyone worked hard here, but this wasn’t anything special, and the silence from the crowd for 70% of this pretty much nullified any goodwill.
