1. Brock, Joe Lay Into Each Other… Verbally
Brock Lesnar is not known for his promo skills. The Beast has an advocate in Paul Heyman for a reason.
But when Lesnar want to talk, he doesn’t shy away from it. Brock grabbed the mic when Roman Reigns demanded a Universal Championship match at SummerSlam and told him that he doesn’t “deserve s***,” that standing there was a close as he was getting to the title. Then Samoa Joe came out he weigh in.
Joe called everyone out for being in a fantasy world, trying to bring them back to reality. Brock piped up: “The reality is I kicked your ass last night.” Then, when Heyman tried to sway Kurt Angle to book Reigns rather than Joe for SummerSlam, Joe told Brock that Paul E. was protecting him, demanding that he look at the former challenger when he was talking.
It was a solid confrontation between all three, with Joe and (surprisingly) Brock carrying the lion’s share. And now we get to watch Roman defeat Joe next week so he can face Lesnar for the title at SummerSlam.
