4. A Dying Feud

As unending as the Dean Ambrose/Miz feud is, and as meaningless the Bray Wyatt/Seth Rollins rivalry is, at least those feuds have produced good matches to entertain fans. But a feud that actually has a nice buildup – wrestler A turns on tag partner and takes him out – Goldust/R-Truth just doesn’t translate in the ring.

Truth and Goldust tangled Monday night in a snoozer that nearly lost fans completely, if not for the last couple minutes where things briefly picked up. But even then, this didn’t feel like a massive confrontation between former tag partners ripped apart at the seams. (See the feud between Enzo Amore and Big Cass for a better example.)

This might as well have been labeled “bathroom break match” on fans’ programs. And odds are, we’ll see more of it, with Truth getting his win back and then the dreaded rubber match.
