5. If They’re Not Doing Anything Better…
Once Seth Rollins ran out to save Finn Bálor from a two-on-one beatdown from Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, you could almost feel GM Kurt Angle’s inner Teddy Long breaking through. Sure enough, Angle made the match a tag team bout.
Balor and Rollins would emerge victorious, gelling well as a unit. We’ve seen Dolph and Drew team up off and own, but we already know they work well together too. Considering how abysmal the Raw tag team division is currently, why not have these duos stick together and compete for the Raw tag titles?
The B-Team is a transitional team at best, leaving the Deleters of Worlds and Authors of Pain as the only big threats, and the Revival as a team that needs to be worked back up. The rest – including Ascension, Titus Worldwide, and Rhyno & Heath Slater – are non-entities.
So using top-level talent to fill that role wouldn’t be a horrible use of them when they aren’t vying for the Intercontinental Championship. Just a thought, as the tag match worked pretty well.
