3. Shield Versus Ziggler & McIntyre?

Bobby Lashley suggested in the opening segment that Roman Reigns should stop trying to unseat Brock Lesnar and focus on someone or something else. By the end of the show, it appeared that Reigns had done just that.

Seth Rollins was wrestling Dolph Ziggler in a hotly contested rematch for the Intercontinental Championship, when Drew McIntyre returned from his ejection to interfere and cause a DQ. The duo proceeded to attack Rollins and prepare to hit their tandem finisher, when Roman emerged and chase both men off, saving his former Shield brother.

Raw ended with Rollins and Reigns in the ring and Ziggler and McIntyre on the outside. It appears as if this is the next feud, especially now that the multi-man match at Extreme Rules is off. And if that’s the case, this could be a pretty good one, putting the villains into a top-level feud.

But there’s the sneaking suspicion that this is just a placeholder until the next Reigns elevation attempt…
