5. Strange Bedfellows Tag Match
As soon as the match pitting Finn Bálor and Baron Corbin against Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens was made, you knew something bad was going to happen. It was a disaster-in-waiting.
So when Bálor and Corbin brawled to the back, resulting in a count-out, that wasn’t a surprise at all. But then, it got even worse (for one person). KO tried to celebrated with his tag partner, only for Strowman to chase him backstage. Then, when Owens was trying to get his car to flee, he discovered that Braun had flipped it over.
Owens has spent the past year-plus tormenting people in one way or another, and he’s really reaping what he’s sowed. Braun is at his best when he smashes stuff, and without a Universal Champion to cash in on, this is his next best option.
And who knows? Maybe this will lead to a KO “face” turn, where he isn’t a purely hated heel. But for Monday, this was entertaining enough.
