What in the hell was going on with the main event interview?
First, Mick Foley made Kevin Owens host a talk show and interview Goldberg, which was strange enough. Jeri-KO made the opening part of the talk show entertaining enough, but then everyone decided to come out. First Goldberg showed up as the guest, but then Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman all came out to interrupt.
All of the appearances paid off with Goldberg and Reigns hitting a double spear on Strowman, which looked cool, but also just laid out your new giant character. At least it wasn’t Owens eating the spear.
Regardless, that ending looked more like the writers didn’t have any ideas and decided to run a bunch of guys out there until it was time to pull the trigger on the dual spear. It was a meandering main event segment that accomplished very little.
