6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2015

3. Giving Reigns The Rub

One wouldn€™t think that WWE€™s anointed successor to John Cena needs to get a rub from another star, but the failed attempt to elevate Roman Reigns to World Champion from Royal Rumble to WrestleMania required the company to do a little backtracking. Thankfully, the promotion has been smart enough to step back with Reigns and build him back up in fans€™ eyes. Having Reigns partner back up with and watch the immensely popular Dean Ambrose€™s back has helped some of the most callous fans remember why they liked Roman at one point. It also has gotten Reigns back to what he does best: talk less and hit more. At Elimination Chamber, Reigns made the save during a four-on-one beatdown, punching and spearing anything that moved, helping Ambrose overcome the odds and keep his hands on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (more on that in a bit). The result was a ton of cheers raining down on Roman for helping out his popular friend. That€™s not to say that some fans still won€™t revolt when Reigns is pushed to the top again, but at least WWE has taken that step back and tried to reignite the flame.
