6 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 5th)

Sorry to say to all the Lucha Dragons fans out there, but this is exactly how they should be used if they aren€™t getting a push as a tag team: the occasional singles match punching bag for a bigger star. In this case, Kevin Owens tangled with Sin Cara, defeating him with little effort. Owens is the Intercontinental Champion (which used to count for something) and theoretically could be in the main event scene right now if he had been allowed to stay as hot as he was when he debuted. A big part of his gimmick is that he walks away from fights when they don€™t suit him. The subtle difference between that and being a typical chickens*** heel is being able to beat people up at will. Owens got that character over in NXT, destroying Sami Zayn and others but walking away from battles when they didn€™t suit him.Getting a quick and easy win over Sin Cara and then wandering off when Ryback raced down was exactly the sort of thing Owens needed. Now, if there€™s justice, he€™ll actually beat the Big Guy convincingly in their rematch rather than raking the eyes again. One can dare to dream.
