7 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Super ShowDown 2019

2. Brock Lesnar’s Cash-In

What was the point of it all? No, really, why did Brock Lesnar have to win the Money In The Bank contract in the first place?

Not only was he already due a contractually stipulated rematch for his Universal Championship, his entire return was built around him senselessly winning the briefcase - and for what? So that he could dance around with it on-screen for a couple of weeks, consistently tease us with cash-ins that were never going to happen and end up looking like an idiot two times in a row? Well, if that was the plan, mission accomplished.

After destroying Rollins on Raw, he bafflingly decided to wait until Super ShowDown to cash in the contract (which we all knew was never going to happen because, well, glorified house show, remember?), only to allow himself to get distracted in the most ridiculous of ways and ultimately fail.

Now what? Are we supposed to believe that this seething Beast, who made a fool of himself, is suddenly going to disappear into obscurity for another few months just because the narrative requires him to wait until SummerSlam? Well, it's WWE so... whether we believe it or not, it's probably happening.

Yet again, Lesnar was merely a marketing tool utilised by the company to ensure that people would tune in and thus, he was shoehorned into the end of Seth Rollins' Universal Championship defence, regardless of how it demolished any ounce of logic that WWE had left.
