7 Future Main Event Wrestlers In WWE

3. Asuka

The 'Women's Revolution' has stalled recently on both Raw and SmackDown. Since the disappointment of the Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks main event at Hell in a Cell last year, and a subsequent over-reliance on quick title changes, the women's division on both brands have felt a little adrift. But 'The Empress of Tomorrow' is coming to set things back on course.

Asuka has dominated NXT since her title win against Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Dallas way back in April 2016. After an incredible 510 day reign, she's now relinquished the title due to an injury which accelerated the WWE's plans to send her to the main roster. When she's healthy again, she'll be making the jump to either Raw or SmackDown and on either show, she'll be shaking things up in her own, inimitable Asuka-style.

Due to her undefeated reign in NXT, it's unlikely she'll have a gradual rise to the top either. Expect to see Asuka pitted in a title bout almost immediately, and it'll be something of a shock if she doesn't win gold at her first attempt. She could then go on to have a Goldberg-like streak, destroying all challengers set before her. Because none of them would be ready for Asuka.
