7 Major Questions Surrounding Brock Lesnar’s Potential USADA Violation

4. Is His UFC Career Over?

Before we answer this one, I guess there’s a slightly bigger question to be discussed; whether or not Lesnar even had a career in the UFC.

Following his now-tainted win over Mark Hunt, he was fairly non-committal on the subject. All he really said was that his future plans included Randy Orton at SummerSlam and not much else beyond that.

But even if he did harbour furtive intentions of making a more permanent return to the Octagon, you’d have to think that those hopes will have been dashed by this potential USADA violation.

If he does get the full two-year suspension, that would make him 41 by the time he’d be allowed to return the mix. It’s by no means impossible to compete at that age—after all, Hunt was 42 at the time of their meeting at UFC 200—but it would be increasingly more difficult to return to the rigours of full-time training and mount a genuine comeback with time no longer on his side.

And furthermore, with his spot in the top ten of the heavyweight rankings now based on a potentially-nullified fight; can we even consider him a realistic contender anymore?
