3. Will WWE Suspend Him?

Much of what we’ve discussed so far has pertained exclusively to the UFC. But it’s the WWE who own his contract, after all, so how are they going to deal with all this?

Standoffishly, it seems, if their statement on the matter is anything to go by. The company noted that “Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, Aug. 21.”

So it seems that their attitude is that since this didn’t happen on their watch directly, it’s not necessarily their problem. The WWE is raising its hands and pleading ignorance to what Brock gets up to when he’s not performing for the company. Besides, Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants, right?

So while an official WWE suspension seems unlikely, their statement does suggest that we may not be seeing Brock until his scheduled match with Randy Orton at SummerSlam on August 21. Either then or once all of the details of this have been cleared up—whichever eventuality come first.
