7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (May 1)
One of the best episodes since SmackDown jumped to FOX.
Last week's SmackDown revolved around a comedic roast to celebrate 25 years of Triple H in WWE, but this week's show was less about the past and more about the future.
Specifically, the writers did their able best to hype up the 10 May Money In The Bank pay-per-view by adding some new wrestlers to the fray and revealing that both the men's and women's ladder matches will take place at the same time. Yes, it's madness. Yes, it's probably going to be a clusterf*ck. No, your writer cannot wait to see what happens.
If nothing else, that announcement should have everyone's attention.
This was a good week overall for the blue brand - there was only one glaring negative that made WWE look a bit foolish and tested fan patience. If you were willing to overlook that, then there was a lot to love from the latest Performance Center effort. Almost everything was logical, ran smoothly and showed that some characters are coming into their own despite the sh*tty circumstances and this whole no fans dealio.
