2. Jon Moxley Vs Stu Grayson
Between damaging moments of miscommunication, a pacing issue the pair just couldn't seem to address, and the live crowd not so much taking a quick breather but letting the breather happen to them, Jon Moxley Vs Stu Grayson ended up being one of the bigger TV under-deliveries in recent memory.
Moxley and The Blackpool Combat Club's new heel energy was explored elsewhere on the show to tremendous effect, but it simply didn't connect within the body of a sludgy match that somehow managed to douse a lot of Grayson's typical fire without particularly showcasing Moxley's increased vindictiveness. For men that historically have chemistry with almost everybody they wrestle, the bout badly underwhelmed.
In truth, the best things got between the two came after the bell. Cameras caught up with Grayson recovering from the defeat backstage, only to be jumped by The BCC in an unprovoked attack that foreshadowed yet more violence from the heels and built the case for them being the ones behind the big show-opening assault.
