Junkyard Dog was half the performer he'd been for Bill Watts during a prolific spell atop NWA Mid South Wrestling in the early-1980s - unfortunately the 50% retained was all charisma at the expense of doing anything memorable between the ropes.

This only took him so far against a Greg Valentine also some way short of his early-decade best, with Jimmy Hart's heel only really a cause of concern to the MSG faithful when engaged in the post-match punch-up with existing Intercontinental Title rival Tito Santana.

Santana would eventually wrestle the strap away from 'The Hammer' so the teaser here served a wider purpose (imagine that), but the 6:55 match felt treble that as they ambled along to a cheap countout finish.
