For all the criticism levied in previous items about the opening of Raw, one big positive that needs to be highlighted is that WWE broke from the (recent history) norm Monday night, having the show open with a brief promo but then quickly escalate into chaos. Sure Sheamus promo was rambling and error-riddled. And Rhynos fun return got lost in the jumble. And the huge 16-man match was rushed forward without a proper setup. But it was different. And for that, we have to give WWE credit. They tried something different for a change. While we can poke holes through everything they did, it shouldnt disqualify them from continuing to try something new.Mondays opening segment(s) was high-energy and action-packed. Thats a pretty big departure from the 20-minute talkfests that have dominated the opening of Raw for the past several years. And that along merits a thumbs up.
