Before he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Sheamus hadnt won a televised match in nearly a month, seven weeks if were talking about a singles match. Despite being the MITB winner, the Celtic Warrior hadnt been booked too strongly in the lead-up to becoming the Authoritys newest charge. In fact, just a couple hours earlier, he was dancing along with New Day and then was abandoned by the tag champs to take a three-on-one loss in a Survivor Series elimination match. But they can build him back up, right? Now that Sheamus is champion, that automatically adds credibility to him, correct? The shame of the matter is that this could have gone over a lot better had Sheamus been booked better the past couple months, but he hasnt had a real feud in a while. In fact, Survivor Series was his first PPV match since SummerSlam. Expect Triple H to make the hard pitch to label Sheamus a killer and the perfect corporate champion, but its just disappointing he wasnt treated that way prior to cashing in the briefcase.
