Two top guys: One is almost universally cheered, the other is mostly jeered. What to do, what to do…

Oh yeah, turn the fan-favorited heel, because you really want fans to cheer the other guy, *ahem* The Guy.

WWE essentially pulled the trigger on a heel turn for Braun Strowman Monday night, having him partner with Roman Reigns against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Braun didn’t tag in until late in the match, but he never entered the ring until after a DQ by the villains.

Then, Strowman attacked his tag partner, joining Drew and Dolph in a beatdown on Roman. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins ran in to help, but they were overrun. And then Braun celebrated with McIntyre and Ziggler.

Does this make them allies long-term, or just for one night? Either way, it’s clear WWE now wants fans to boo Strowman, because that clearly will get fans to rally behind Reigns… right? Right?
