2. Beating The Champ… And Her Henchwoman

When the hero(ine) is outnumbered and facing a champ and a seemingly unbeatable monster, logic would dictate that s/he would suffer a beatdown to some extent. And while it’s predictable, that doesn’t necessarily make it wrong or boring.

Sasha Banks and Bayley were teaming to take on Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss, when Jax took out Bayley outside the ring, knocking her out of the match. That left Sasha to face the Raw Women’s Champion and a dominant monster. Seems easy to predict, right? Nope.

Banks managed to knock Jax off the apron, reversed a DDT and slapped on the Banks Statement for the tapout win over her PPV opponent. It was a huge victory heading into Sunday, but it also just felt too easy to overcome two women single-handedly.

Now, Sasha is in a must-win situation at Great Balls of Fire. If she loses, she looks incompetent. If she wins, well of course a three-time champ who won a handicap match defeated a diminutive opponent.
