4. Bringing The €˜700 Level€™ To The Rumble

If you€™re familiar with Philly, the term €œ700 Level€ makes perfect sense. It refers to the top of the upper deck at Veterans Stadium, the former home to both the Eagles and Phillies. The 700 Level is where the €œboobirds€ used to sit €“ the loudest, rowdiest fans you could find. That mentality was on full display Sunday night, as fans turned on the Royal Rumble the moment Daniel Bryan€™s feet hit the floor. You knew it was going to be bad, but Philadelphia fans made Pittsburgh€™s €œhijacking€ of last year€™s Rumble look tame by comparison. Fans chanted for Bryan for an extended period, then CM Punk. When Dean Ambrose €“ probably the last person in the match fans would accept winning €“ was eliminated, the fans launched into a loud €œBulls***€ chant. Even the Rock bailing out Roman Reigns and raising his hand afterward couldn€™t fool the Philly faithful into cheering. If anything, it made them boo even louder. The Philly fans deserve credit for vocally expressing what a lot of fans watching at home on the WWE Network had to be thinking: This is a complete farce.
