3. Constantly Losing

The manner in which Bayley won the Raw Women’s Championship (and defended it against Charlotte) set a grim tone for the rest of her reign. Unfortunately, Bayley soon succumbed to the old WWE booking technique of having mid-level champions lose a boatload of matches, and she has scored just one singles victory since capturing the title in February - her successful defence at WrestleMania 33.

Bayley hasn’t won a Raw singles bout without distraction, interference, or disqualification since December 12th, when she defeated Alicia Fox. She is continually portrayed as one of the division’s meekest competitors despite her position on the card, and which not only damages her as a performer, but a championship that WWE deemed worthy of headlining Hell In A Cell back in October.

There’s nothing wrong with taking a few losses every now and then, particularly when you’re an underdog babyface. It's difficult to get invested in someone who never wins, however, and an inability to recoup those failures paints the wrestler as a loser and kills their popularity. This is exactly what has happened with Bayley, who once felt like one of the best wrestlers in the company, but now looks borderline incompetent.
