AEW has officially changed the wrestling landscape, landing television and pay per view deals, selling out shows, and gaining fans quicker than WWE ever could have expected. They are truly showing what a successful alternative wrestling promotion looks like. Therefore, whether they like it or not, WWE is being forced to change if they're to retain what they have left of their fan base. Because of that, a lot of the changes WWE is alluding to trying to make have mirrored the AEW product.

For now, WWE can remain loyal to their product. They tease changes and refreshes because it gets people to tune in temporarily and garners some quick cheap interest, but then when it comes time to actually stick to this long term there hasn’t been a reason to do it because Vince doesn’t want our company; he wants his company. Then, now, and forever. But change is coming, even begrudgingly. After all, you can’t keep cheating and expect us to not start looking for somebody else, Mr. McMahon. Our heart is a very delicate thing.
