With over-scripting comes a blending of characters. Too many wrestlers feel too similar and are unable to differentiate themselves from the pack. In order to diversify, WWE must focus on its characters and storylines, as previously mentioned. However, theres another distinct trait of the Attitude Era that has gone missing, and thats a certain level of absurdity. Feuds are now fought simply because of a title or minor gripe between competitors. Meanwhile, the Attitude Era gave us unique angles involving blood baths, murdered pets, stolen corpses, and the like. Were all of these stories good? Not always. However, this level of ridiculousness made the WWE feel like must-watch television -- a characteristic that is severely lacking today. The company must learn from the Attitude Eras insanity and figure out a way to inject the current product with a just a touch of the same.
