8 Incredible Cover Versions Of WWE Theme Songs Hiding On YouTube

1. Moody Cover Of John Cena Theme (By Cassettes)

John Cena's not exactly known as the most morose superstar on the roster. And everything about his entrance screams "Nelly is my hero!" Which is what might make this moody version of "The Time Is Now" so damn satisfying. Somehow, the acoustic introduction manages to sound like a backing track that would have been used in an old school Nintendo game which, of course, makes it that much cooler. All in all, there's a creepy smoothness to this new version that, though it might lack the "excitement" of the actual theme song, is nonetheless a pretty cool take on it. Does this band do a better job of rapping than John Cena did in the original? That's...come on. It's John Cena. Though it should be noted that the Cassettes don't spit rhymes quite as well as Cena's cousin, Tha Trademarc, who originally performed the second verse.
